Women of Dartmouth

Women of Dartmouth Official page for Women of Dartmouth.

Women of Dartmouth regional alumnae communities were developed in response to alumnae interest in programming and networking opportunities that are specifically geared toward women. These communities allow Dartmouth alumnae another pathway to connect and engage with the College, and enhance the rich tapestry of opportunities for alumnae. The communities are intentional about providing alumnae the

opportunity to:

• Connect with an inclusive community that can support them throughout their lives

• Learn from targeted and relevant programming and from each other

• Leverage the Dartmouth network in their personal and professional lives

• Celebrate how women want to support the College and each other

• Engage with the College through meaningful volunteer opportunities

• Strengthen inter-generational bonds and connections back to the students

Gather Round for Women of Dartmouth's next INSPIRE session on May 7 at 7p ET

There is a particular kind of story that never gets told.

Not because it isn't worth telling. But because the person carrying it never had a room that felt safe enough, a prompt that felt right, or someone who asked at exactly the right moment.

The INSPIRE Migrations archive exists because we believe that room should exist. That the story of what you carried across a border, a state line, a cultural divide — how you reconciled aquí y allá, here and there — belongs somewhere permanent. Somewhere it can be found by the woman who comes after you and needs to know she is not the first.

On May 7th at 7:00 pm ET, we are building that room live. One hundred women. Real conversation. No performance required.

On Thursday, May 7, Women of Dartmouth INSPIRE and Dartmouth Association of Latino Alumni present "What We Carry: A Round on Origins, Inheritance & Identity" — our most ambitious gathering yet.

We are bringing together 100+ alumnae for a 90-minute experience that starts with powerful catalyst stories from the Migrations series, then moves into intimate, self-facilitated conversations in small groups of three. No homework. No prep. Just the stories that move with you.

Time: 7 pm ET / 4 pm PT

Give a Rouse for Tiernan Sittenfeld ‘96 who was named President and CEO of The National Parks Conservation Association (NPCA), the 107-year-old nonprofit national parks advocacy group. She joins NPCA after spending more than two decades fighting for public lands, bold action on climate change, and clean air and water for the League of Conservation Voters.

Tiernan, who started her role yesterday, said in a statement: “I can’t wait to jump into this role with awe and reverence for our national parks and respect and admiration for NPCA’s board, staff, and mission. NPCA will never stop fighting to protect America’s national parks. Together, we will defend them today and prepare for a better tomorrow.”

This Friday, you can catch Bianca Ribi '18 making her Olympic debut for Canada in the 2-woman bobsleigh event. Bianca, who played on the women's soccer team at Dartmouth, serves as the pilot in the race. The role requires short bursts of speed, which contrasts with her job as a firefighter needing endurance. The mix makes her one of the most well-rounded athletes on the track. For more: https://www.cbc.ca/sports/olympics/winter/bobsleigh/bianca-ribi-bobsleigh-2026-olympic-dream-1.7401473
