Electronic Design & Multimedia at CCNY We are Electronic Design & Multimedia at The City College of New York–CUNY. We offer a BFA in EDM

Our students have found employment in advertising agencies, graphic design firms, magazines and newspapers, as well as in the new media industries of web design, multimedia design, 3D design, and animation. An important component of CCNY's Electronic Design and Multimedia Program is the Robinson Center, established in 1994 by Herbert Robinson, Class of '37, and his brothers Jerry and Bernard. The

Robinson Center was established to encourage exchange between emerging and experimental forms of electronic media and traditional modes of publishing, typesetting, and printing. The Robinson Center has provided essential support for student grants, supplemental software and hardware, contact with artists and design professionals in the form of lectures and presentations, print and media resources, as well as other material assistance to the Electronic Design & Multimedia Program. Hello Students,

The application is now open for the BFA in Electronic Design and Multimedia (EDM) at The City College of New York.

Both incoming and current CCNY undergraduate students are invited to apply. Students interested in electronic design, multimedia, and creative digital practices are encouraged to submit an application.

Application Deadline: February 24

Each year the Kaye Scholars Program awards stipends to students at the City College of New York who are pursuing majors in the Humanities and the Arts. Kaye Scholars are selected on the basis of their academic record, creative promise, and financial need.

CCNY animation was IN EFFECT just so proud of our students!! And we featured a block of wonderful animation from the amazing students of Hostos Community College it was such an honor to have this partnership with them! What an awesome week for CCNY!! First all of our students got invited to NYC x DESIGN DESIGN HOMECOMING 2023
We took over the Guggenheim and mingled with students from other schools and saw the wonderful Nick Cave exhibit and Alex Katz exhibit as well!! I love my students so much we had so much fun!! 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾

💥CONGRATULATIONS💥 to EDM BFA senior, Justin Gordon, who is a current student in the Pentagram Portfolio Program, an exciting collaboration between Electronic Design and Multimedia and . The year-long program, led by Paula Scher with fellow Pentagram Partners Emily Oberman, Natasha Jen, and Michael Gericke, offers EDM students and alumni the opportunity to strengthen their portfolios while experiencing the design studio environment at Pentagram’s NYC office. We are proud of you, Justin, and your Pentagram Portfolio Program cohort, and are so grateful to Pentagram for this wonderful collaboration! (Special thanks to the CCNY Office of Institutional Advancement and Communications for this interview.)

“A lot of what we do at Pentagram is design thinking and working with visual identity and brands,” says Justin Gordon, a senior majoring in Electronic Design and Multimedia. Since September, Gordon has been among the first students and alumni to take part in the selective new Portfolio Program, a partnership between one of the world’s leading design firms and CCNY. Hear how Gordon is working closely each week with Pentagram partner Michael Gericke, learning new ways of problem-solving, and developing his design portfolio with everything from research and analysis to typography and color palettes.
