Our Story
The UTRGV School of Medicine Simulation Center provides simulated settings and technology, which can simulate a wide range of clinical challenges requiring interventions and/or the use of sophisticated equipment. The purpose is to train clinical health professionals of all disciplines, at all levels, and prepare them for work with patients. The technology allows high school students training in health professions. Medical and nursing students, residents and even practicing nurses and physicians can use the technology to develop and/or hone or refresh both established and new clinical and communication skills in a variety of simulated health care environments. This technology has significant impact on the quality of patient care and lifelong professional skills.
