Your background doesn’t have to dictate your future. Now in his residency program at UT Medical, Dr. Blake Ivey grew up in Campbell County, TN, and is now working toward becoming a family physician in the same community where he was raised.

As a Roane State Middle College student, he received scholarship support from the Roane State Foundation that helped set him on this path. His story is a reminder that with the right support, home can also be the place where your future takes shape.

We are heartbroken to share the passing of Patricia “Pat” Row, on June 3, 2026. Pat’s dedication to the Oak Ridge community and the Foundation was felt by many. She served on the Scholarship Selection Committee, volunteered in our office during staffing shortages, supported events like the golf tournament, and followed her late husband, Tom Row, on the board. Her impact will be remembered for years to come.

To honor Pat’s legacy, her family asks that gifts be made to nonprofits, including Roane State Foundation, in lieu of flowers. We are deeply grateful for her service, generosity, and support of students, and we will continue to celebrate her remarkable life.

We’re so grateful to the Good Neighbors Shoppe for their continued support of Roane State Community College students!

Their recent $30,000 gift will fund multiple scholarships for Loudon County students, helping remove financial barriers and open doors to higher education.

Good Neighbors Shoppe has been a dedicated partner for years, steadily increasing their annual support to give even more students a chance to succeed. Thank you for investing in our students and our community!

We are so grateful for Phil Andrews and his leadership as he steps down from the Foundation board. Since 2017, he has helped advance scholarships, program funding, and community partnerships that directly support student success. He is proud of the growth in scholarship support and contributions like the ORAU $100K gift he championed for the new Knox Regional Health Science Education Center, which will impact countless students pursuing careers in healthcare.

His work reminds us how meaningful it is to give back and support students in achieving their goals.
