Northark Simulation Director Vi Sims , with the help of her faculty Kim Tinsley and Kendra Bradford, discussed collaborative work with Drama instructor Mike Mahoney at the UCA Reach conference. They detailed how the class was established to allow students to earn a Fine Arts credit while learning to act as patients to assist nursing students to enhance communication skills.
The team enjoyed the rest of the day hearing from others using collaboration techniques in their simulation centers.

Yesterday the Practical Nursing Senior Class from North Arkansas College came by for a tour!! Thank you to our SANE and Friend, Jessica McDonald, for bringing this wonderful group by to see the ins and outs of what we do as a CAC and exactly how our medical services are essential to child abuse victims!!

Kim McGowan, Bridge nursing instructor, Angela Ballard, Traditional RN instructor, and Kendra Bradford, Simulation Nursing Faculty, recently attended a women's health conference at Baptist in LR. The instructors are eager to integrate the knowledge they gained on enhanced best practices in prenatal and postpartum care into their educational programs.

Equity Bank graciously grilled for our Nursing students yesterday. Lana Boggs from our local Co-op also visited Northark to educate our nursing students on the impact of poverty on our community and patient health.
