Campbellsville University School of Chiropractic is pleased to announce the appointment of Dr. Erica Callahan as the new Dean of the School of Chiropractic.

Dr. Callahan brings a wealth of experience in chiropractic education, clinical practice, and leadership, along with a deep commitment to student success and the advancement of the chiropractic profession. As Dean, she will help guide the continued growth of our program while supporting our mission of preparing competent, compassionate, and servant-minded chiropractors.

As we welcome Dr. Callahan to this role, we also extend our sincere gratitude to Dr. Trevor Foshang for the vision, hard work, and dedication that helped establish and grow our program. We are thankful for his leadership and look forward to seeing his continued impact as Dean of the College of Health Sciences.

Our students recently organized and gathered for a cookout filled with great conversations, plenty of laughs, and time to connect outside the classroom. Events like these help build the friendships and support systems that make the CUSOC experience so special.

We love seeing our students come together and enjoy the community they've created here at Campbellsville University School of Chiropractic.

Preparing students for success beyond graduation:

Last week, our students participated in a two-day NCMIC Starting Into Practice & Risk Management Workshop focused on helping future chiropractors transition confidently into clinical practice. Topics included risk management strategies, documentation, communication, ethics, and practical guidance for building a successful career after graduation.
A special thank you to Mandi Swanson and Dr. Lisa Goodman for sharing their expertise, insight, and encouragement with our students throughout the workshop.
We are incredibly grateful to NCMIC for their continued investment in chiropractic education and for providing our students with meaningful guidance as they prepare to enter the profession.

We’re proud to spotlight one of our distinguished graduates, Macy, from Campbellsville University School of Chiropractic.

After graduating in May 2025, Macy is now serving as an associate chiropractor at Children’s Family Chiropractic Center, where she is making an impact in a family-centered practice.

Macy was initially drawn to CUSOC for its small class sizes and the opportunity to complete multiple clinical rotations during her final year. During her time in the program, hands-on learning and personalized faculty feedback played a key role in shaping her confidence and clinical skills. She recalls the excitement of performing her first cervical adjustment—what once felt intimidating has now become one of her favorite aspects of patient care.

One particularly meaningful experience was working with a pregnant faculty member, which helped her build confidence in caring for special populations and prepared her for the work she does today.

Now in practice, Macy focuses on pediatrics and pregnancy care, while also serving a wide range of patients—from infants to grandparents and even local fire department leaders. Her passion lies in caring for her youngest patients, especially those 0–12 months old.

Her advice to current and future students:
“Don’t be afraid to dream big in order to become the kind of doctor you want to be. Write down your vision and keep it in sight for those hard days when you’re faced with the unknown. Gain wisdom from faculty and doctors in the field while you can, take that leap of faith, and God opens the right doors.”
