Dr. Cawley's Field Botany class has been out studying the local flora in Cumberland Gap National Historical Park. Meanwhile, student Claire Matherly has been working with Zoo Knoxville since May, helping conduct research on the bog turtle (Glyptemys muhlenbergii), Tennessee's smallest and most threatened turtle!

What a wonderful way to conclude another successful CMSHP STEM Camp! 🎉

On Friday, we celebrated our campers during our Awards Ceremony, where each student—rising 1st through 12th graders—received a certificate of completion in recognition of their hard work, curiosity, and enthusiasm throughout the week

It was a joy to welcome parents, families, and friends as they joined us in celebrating the accomplishments of our campers. Watching each student cross the room was a reminder that every future scientist, healthcare professional, engineer, and innovator begins with a willingness to learn and explore.

Thank you to all of our campers for making this week so much fun, to our families for your continued support, and to everyone who helped make CMSHP STEM Camp 2026 such a memorable experience. We can't wait to see what the future holds for these bright young minds!

As we wrap up another incredible CMSHP STEM Camp, we want to extend our sincere gratitude to the many members of the LMU community who helped make this week such a memorable experience for our campers. 💙

A special thank you to the LMU Physician Assistant Program, Occupational Therapy Doctorate Program, College of Veterinary Medicine, and LMU Admissions for welcoming our rising 6th–12th grade students throughout the week. From hands-on activities and career exploration to campus tours and interactive learning experiences, each visit gave our campers a unique opportunity to discover the many exciting paths available in healthcare and higher education.

Your willingness to invest in these young learners helps inspire curiosity, encourage future goals, and foster a passion for STEM. Thank you to all of the faculty, staff, and students who shared your time, knowledge, and enthusiasm—we couldn't have done it without you!

🚀 What an incredible start to our Annual STEM Camp! 🧪🔬

The first two days have been filled with curiosity, creativity, and hands-on learning as our campers, from rising 1st through 12th grade, have explored the exciting world of STEM. From engaging experiments and interactive activities to teamwork and problem-solving, it's been amazing to see so many bright minds learning, creating, and having fun together!
