Off to a strong start!
As a new semester begins, 2026-27 enrollment trends give us many reasons to celebrate.
· First-time freshman enrollment is still climbing – building on robust growth over the last few years.
· We received a record number of undergraduate applications, thanks to our outstanding recruiting and admissions teams.
· Our music program has more than 300 majors, a 175-member Worship Choir and a 165-member Spirit of Carey marching band.
· Other academic areas with strong growth include education, music, Christian ministries and occupational therapy.
· WCU College of Osteopathic Medicine is now the largest medical school in Mississippi and our School of Pharmacy welcomed another record first-year class.
Like all universities, we’re adapting to changes in federal financial aid for students, particularly in some non-medical graduate programs. But the overall story at William Carey remains one of momentum, opportunity and gratitude.
I am especially thankful to our faculty and staff for the extraordinary work they do to recruit, teach and encourage our students.
