The Fords controlled much of the attacking action, finishing with a 16-6 advantage in shots and putting nine attempts on goal. Haverford's defense was equally effective, holding the Nittany Lions without a shot on target over the full 90 minutes to secure a third consecutive clean sheet to open the campaign.

The Fords held a commanding 19-2 advantage in shots, including a 13-2 edge in shots on goal, and earned nine penalty corners compared to just one for the Bombers. Ithaca goalkeeper Maeve Clark proved to be the difference for the hosts, turning aside 12 shots, while the Bombers' back line also recorded a defensive save to keep Haverford off the scoreboard.

Goats came together once again on the Fran Rizzo Cross Country Course as Haverford opened the 2026 season with its annual Alumni/Open Race.

The varsity team delivered a strong showing, led by Owen Bluman, Luke de Valpine and Simon Lane sweeping the top three overall spots, while generations of Haverford runners returned to celebrate the tradition and lasting bonds of the program.

A perfect Saturday at Gooding Arena!

Haverford swept Lancaster Bible before outlasting Stockton in a five-set thriller to finish the Haverford Invitational with a pair of victories and improve to 3-1 on the season.

Fiona Moord delivered a dominant day for the Fords, totaling 21 kills while hitting .543, while Elizabeth Cella added 30 kills across the two matches.

The Fords are back home Saturday for a tri-match with Cairn and Lebanon Valley.
