We had an awesome time at the Yankee Book Swap in December, so we're doing it again!

You're invited to the NECC Library's spring semester book swap to celebrate National Library Week. Here are the details:
Thursday, April 23 @ 11:00 a.m. in the Haverhill Commons (room C-201) AND
Thursday, April 23 @ 1:00 p.m. in the Lawrence Campus Library (L-007 in the Dimitry Building @ 45 Franklin St)
Bring a wrapped book that you want to give away (we'll have extra wrapping paper if you need it), and you'll go home with a different one that you get to keep. Plus, this semester's book swap is inspired by the book fairs we all loved going to in elementary school, so we'll have bookmarks, stickers, snacks, and other goodies for you to enjoy. We're excited to celebrate National Library Week with all of you by promoting our favorite pastime: curling up with a good book.

We hope to see you then! Comment or DM if you have any questions.

You're invited to the NECC Library's ! Our first book is Call Me By Your Name--also an Oscar-winning movie, which means you don't even have to read the book to participate. :) We'll meet on Tuesday, June 24, @1:00p.m. in the Haverhill campus library. (In July we'll be in Lawrence!) Students, staff, and faculty are welcome. You can sign up here if you'd like! https://necc.libwizard.com/f/2025Campus_Summer_Bookclub

Please comment on this post if you need a copy of the book, and a librarian will be happy to help.

Here are the rest of the books for the summer:
July--American Spy, by Lauren Wilkinson
August--anything by Elin Hilderbrand!

We hope to see you there so that we can finally answer the question: is the book better than the movie?

Summer Reading Challenge!

Save, screenshot, or print (https://necc.mass.libguides.com/summerreading) the bingo card in either English or Spanish. When you complete a task, fill it out on the card. Every 5 boxes you fill in counts as one entry to a raffle for a prize. One book can check off more than one box. And don't forget, reading schoolwork counts, too! Turn in your bingo card to a librarian at either library, post it on social media and tag us (), or send us a picture at [email protected] by Friday, September 5, to be entered to win. Happy Reading!

Comment below with any questions you may have!
*****
