Today marks my first day at Google as a Software Engineer III.

I feel incredibly grateful to be joining a company I have looked up to for a long time. After a months-long process and the support of so many people around me, this moment feels both surreal and deeply meaningful.

Looking back, it reminds me of everything I have been working toward, the challenges along the way, and how each step has led me here. I am feeling emotionally and mentally overwhelmed, but in the best possible way.

I am excited to contribute, learn, and grow with my new team as we build cutting-edge machine learning performance profiling tools for TPU users.

Here’s to a new chapter, new challenges, and a lot of learning ahead

Last month the University Honors Program (UHP) hosted a breakfast colloquium and presentation of capstone projects by the students in the honors program including international student Aniksha Khobragade, a BS Computer Science major from India 🇮🇳

This video provides highlights of the entire program including opening remarks by UHP Director and Professor Arnab Mukherjea (Department of Public Health) and UHP faculty Silvina Ituarte, Assoc Provost and Professor of Criminal Justice, as well as comments by Provost Muscat and President Sandeen. You can see Aniksha’s poster presentation and her Certificate of Achievement awarded by the UHP Director and Faculty and a group picture of all of the UHP students.

The UHP provides curious and hardworking undergraduate students from all majors across campus an opportunity for academic challenge through the completion of original research and creative honors course projects under the direction of faculty mentors. Honors scholars get an opportunity to participate in an interdisciplinary academic learning experiences that complements their major, assists with professional networking and provides opportunities to earn scholarships and distinction in their academic journey.

1. Final group picture with friends and teachers

3. Senior Program Coordinator Yuri Nagasawa Presented the Advanced Certificate of Completion to Olivia Tan who completed the Pre-Graduate Program this semester and got accepted into the Intensive MBA program for this fall.
