πŸ§ͺ Students at Wolfe County High School (Wolfe County Board of Education) are getting hands-on chemistry experience thanks to a generous donation from faculty members within HCTC’s Arts, Sciences, & Kentucky School of Bluegrass & Traditional Music academic division.

πŸ“¦ The donated materials will help support an entire year of chemistry instruction and STEM learning opportunities for local students.

πŸ”¬ This effort is part of a broader initiative focused on expanding access to STEM education and creating more opportunities for students across our region to engage in hands-on learning experiences. Special thanks to Beth Thompson for helping represent the science department during the delivery.

🏭 On 05/21, representatives from Shaping Our Appalachian Region, HCTC, Big Sandy Community & Technical College, and Southeast Kentucky Community & Technical College visited VFP, Inc. in Duffield, Virginia.

🀝 The group met with company leadership to learn more about the expansion of their operations and workforce needs.

πŸ‘· During the visit, attendees toured the facility and gained insight into the skills needed for entry-level positions and the company’s employee-focused culture.
