In partnership with Lewis & Clark County Criminal Justice Services, this first-of-its-kind program will provide campers with opportunities for connection, creativity, and confidence-building through activities like outdoor adventures, sports, art, theater, 3D printing, and more.

Held on Carroll’s campus July 30–31, Camp Bright Horizons reflects our mission to serve the common good and support children and families in our community. We’re honored to help create a space where every camper can experience belonging, encouragement, and fun.

This spring, Dr. Julie Crohas, assistant professor and director of the French & Francophone Studies Program, and Maria Szpilka, a sophomore Catholic Studies and Philosophy double major pursuing a French certificate, joined Father Patrick Beretta and parishioners from Butte on an eight-day pilgrimage through France.

Along the journey, they helped guide pilgrims through some of France’s most iconic spiritual, cultural, and historic sites while sharing their knowledge of French language and culture. Experiences like these highlight the global learning opportunities and meaningful connections that make the Carroll experience unique.

For Father Beretta, the journey embodied the deeper purpose of pilgrimage.

“Pilgrimage is openness to the Spirit, an acute receptiveness to a new revelation,” he said. “The revelation can be about self, the true nature of community, or the presence of God within the fabric of our life-journey.”
