We have had the pleasure of serving as the Public Heath Alumni Association executive board for the past 2 years. For half of us, it’s even longer including the previous term! It’s the end of an era for us, but we are so excited to welcome the new group of MPH alumni along with a brand new executive board. The future of the PHAA is in great hands, and we can’t wait to see what’s next! Congratulations MPH class of 2022!

We have taken the time to research books that address the systemic and health effects of racism. As public health professionals, we cannot ignore the effects of racism on our health care system, personal health and well-being and it's impact as a social determinant of health. These books address a variety of topics that we may encounter in our work as public health professionals. Each offers a unique perspective and are presented in different formats - memoirs, non-fiction and scholarly publications. Most are also available as audiobooks, if you prefer. This is not an exhaustive list. If you have books that you have read that have made an impact on how you experience, understand or educate on racism and public health, drop a recommendation below! 👨🏽‍🏫👩🏼‍🏫👩🏻‍🏫👩🏽‍🏫👩🏼‍🏫
