There are 2 Paths in the College Process:

One path:
Write checks for $40,000+ a year.
Drain savings.
Delay retirement.
Watch your kid graduate with stress attached to every dream.

Other path:
A smart college strategy.
Merit aid.
Reciprocity programs.

The same degree… without the financial chokehold.

The question isn’t:
“Can your child get into college?”
It’s:
“Do you want to pay full price… or save $80,000?”

Thinking About Planning for College?

• Need state-of-the-art test prep? I have that
• Worried about how to pay for college? I can show you options.
• Did you know if your student fits in the top 25% at a college, they could get paid to go? I can show you how.
• Did you know over 75% of colleges use social media during the admissions process? I can help with that too.

Only 45% of college students graduate in 4 years. We don’t just have a student loan crisis — we have a graduation crisis

Don’t believe me? I’ve been doing this for 15 years, and even the highest-achieving students can take longer than expected. The earlier you plan, the more opportunities your student will have.

College and Neurodivergent Students

As your senior preps for graduation, you are likely staring at a mountain of dorm supplies while a knot of "what-if's" tighten in your chest. As both a college planner and someone who cares deeply about the mental health of this transition, I can tell you: what you are feeling isn't just "parental nerves"- it's a rational response to a MASSIVE SYSTEMIC SHIFT.

When your child is neurodivergent (ADHD, ASD, Dyslexia, etc.), the transition to college isn't just a move; it's a total removal of the "invisible scaffolding" you've spent 18 years building for them.

This transition can feel scary; I'm here to help. Now taking on families for fall 2026. www.daniellelacoste.com

Even the strongest students don’t magically glide through freshman year of college.

They’re navigating a completely new environment; academically, socially, and emotionally...all at once.
For neurodivergent students, those with social anxiety, or anyone used to structure and support, the transition can be especially overwhelming.

Coaching isn’t about ability, it’s about support during a major life shift. Time management, self-advocacy, routines, and confidence don’t always come automatically, even for high achievers.

If you’ve already invested so much in your student’s education, it makes sense to support them through this critical first year. Because without the right support, the cost—academically, emotionally, and financially, can end up being much higher.

Parents, I've got 2 options for college planning classes coming up.
1 is virtual and 1 is in person.

If college has been on your mind lately, then you do not want to miss this.

I am here to tell you, if you don't get help, you WILL pay more for college. So why not at least have some tools in your belt?

Before you send them off to college, read this:

What today’s college freshmen are facing:
~60% report overwhelming anxiety at some point during the year
~40% feel so depressed it’s hard to function

Su***de is one of the leading causes of death in college-age students
Most won’t seek help until things are already serious.

Common stressors parents often underestimate:
Loss of structure (no one making them go to class, eat, or sleep regularly)
Social pressure to instantly “find their people”
Academic shock: going from top of class to struggling
Constant comparison via social media
Financial pressure + guilt about cost of school
Navigating independence without emotional coping skills
Loneliness, even when surrounded by people

Here’s the reality:
Excitement and struggle can exist at the same time.

Sending your senior off to college should feel exciting…but for many parents, it’s also filled with questions:
Will they stay on track?
Will they get caught up in partying?
What if they’re already struggling with stress, focus, or motivation?

You’re not alone-and the numbers reflect it. National data from groups like American College Health Association and Healthy Minds Network show that over 60% of college students report overwhelming anxiety, and around 40% report symptoms of depression. Freshman year is often the hardest transition point.

This is my area of expertise-and honestly, some of the most powerful work I do is helping students and families prepare before move-in and coach them through that first year so they don't fall through the cracks.
I only take 15 students per year. Reach out for a free consult today.
