There’s still time to sign up for the Herkimer County Community College All Sports Camp! This free camp for Herkimer County youth ages 8-12 will take place July 6-9 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on the Herkimer County Community College campus. Space is limited to the first 60 campers who register.

Congratulations to the 10 cadets who graduated from Herkimer County Community College’s eighth Phase I Pre-Employment Basic Training course on Thursday, May 28, 2026.

Offered in collaboration with the Little Falls Police Department, the program prepares future law enforcement professionals through rigorous training, discipline and dedication. We are proud of all the graduates for reaching this important milestone and wish them continued success as they begin their careers in public service.

This Memorial Day, we honor and remember the brave individuals who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our country. Their courage and dedication will never be forgotten. Today, we reflect with gratitude and recognize those who gave their lives to protect the freedoms we enjoy every day.

We were honored to host this year’s Mohawk Valley Nonprofit Symposium at Herkimer County Community College. Presented by Herkimer Next and the UpMobility Foundation in partnership with Daneli Partners and First Source, the symposium brought together nonprofit professionals, board members, volunteers, community partners, and individuals interested in nonprofit and community leadership for a day dedicated to connection, learning, and strengthening the organizations that serve our region.

Thank you to everyone who attended and helped make the event such a success. We’re proud to continue serving as a place where connections are made and ideas move forward.

As part of our 60 Acts of Service initiative, members of the Herkimer County Community College Cabinet partnered with the Lions Club to place flags on veterans’ graves at Oak Hill and Calvary cemeteries in honor of those who served our country.

As Memorial Day approaches, we’re grateful for the opportunity to help recognize and remember the sacrifices made by our veterans.
