We provide Authentic Islamic Knowledge bonded in Sisterhood inspiring one heart at a time. WHAT IS GEMS OF LIGHT? GOL is a non-profit organization aiming to help women gain Authentic Islamic Education and other Non-Religious Education relating to their lives. GOL is also working developing various types of Social Services for Community. Previous achievements include: Gems Matrimonial, Outreach Opp

ortunities, and Community Seminars. Our goal at Gems of Light is to help Women gain the Knowledge and Tools necessary to tell and educate others about Islam and provide a bridge to local non-muslim communities, help eradicate cultural/social barriers amongst others with mutual understanding, train teachers and outreach personal, help others use their strengths/abilities in the field of Dawah, and develop a sense of community within the Organization. Gems of Light is an Accredited College through Mishkah University. After completing a Dayee'a degree (Associates in Islamic Studies) through Gems of Light and receive credit towards a Bachelor's and Master's Degree in Islamic Studies, etc. All classes currently are held/instructed in the English language. OUR APPROACH:

Gems of Light has highly qualified Instructors who have a Master's and PHD's in Shariah (Islamic Studies, Quranic Studies, Arabic, etc.) Our approach is moderate and stands on the basis of the Quran/Sunnah in it's teaching.

The Prophet ๏ทบ said, โ€œNo good deeds are better than what is done in these first ten days of Dhul-Hijjah.โ€ Some companions of the Prophet said, โ€œNot even jihad in the way of Allah?โ€ The Prophet said, โ€œNot even jihad in the way of Allah, except for a man who goes out with his life and wealth at risk and he returns with nothing.โ€

Grade: Sahih (authentic) according to Al-Bukhari

Imam Ibn Rajab commented, โ€œThis tradition is explicit proof that a less virtuous deed can become virtuous if it occurs during a virtuous time, such that it becomes superior to other virtuous deeds because of the excellence of its time. And that deeds performed in the first ten days of Dhul-Hijjah are superior to all virtuous deeds performed outside of them.โ€
