Good Afternoon Everybody,
First off, I hope evrybody had a good break and a good first week back. I am so sorry I have been off the grid since our first meeting back in October. I became extremly busy and lost track of time. I am ready to get this club up and running this semester though with all of your help. I have been talking to my instructors and we have been trying to find a time for them to come over and give an intor and speal about ballroom. There is one thing I do need from all of the officers as well as the rest of you. As far as the officers, if you remember who you are that is great because I do not know and misplaced the postions. I have been in contact with Danielle and she has sent me a constitution write up. I am going to attach it for all of you to read and if you want to add anything. When adding please put the section as well as where and what it is in a word document and send it back to me. I will review and take all considerations and then send it on to student life. I am hoping i can have the final write up by the end of the month. Like stated I am wirking with my instructors and hope to have them come down in the next two weeks. Thank you all so much and look forward to hearing back from each of you with you suggestions.
After reading over the write up I am going to make the first suggestion, in the section Dues. Like stated Having my instructors come in for 4 hours they charge. Hopefully this is all right for eveybody.
Article V. Dues
The Ballroom Dacne Club of High POitn University in its first year shall collect dues. The amount shall be $20 to cover two instructors to come in and teach twice a month. However when we become an official oganization we can nogociate the dues amount. All monies belonging to the organization including donations and fundraising efforts, shall be deposited and disbursed through a bank account established by the High Point University Office of Student Accounts. All funds shall be deposited within twenty-four hours after collection. Expenditures shall be made in accordance with applicable rules/ laws governing said transactions.
