Why Blood Pressure Keeps Climbing

If you started with one blood pressure medication…
then added a second…
then a third…
and your numbers are still creeping up — that pattern deserves a real explanation.

Blood pressure is not random. It reflects arterial flexibility, sodium sensitivity, insulin resistance, kidney signaling, sleep quality, and stress physiology. Medication can lower the number. But if the underlying drivers remain — high sodium processed foods, low potassium intake, untreated sleep apnea, central weight gain, chronic stress — the pressure often returns.

Most patients are never told that potassium-rich foods help counterbalance sodium at the cellular level. That high sugar intake stiffens blood vessels. That losing even 5–10% of body weight can significantly lower systolic pressure. That untreated sleep apnea can keep nighttime blood pressure elevated even when daytime readings seem controlled.

If your numbers are rising despite treatment, it may be time to address the terrain — not just the symptom.

If you’re ready for a structured, physician-guided plan to lower your blood pressure from the inside out:

👉 Go to www.dramandamd.com
👉 Click on “Services”
👉 Choose either Medical Appointment or Coaching Services
👉 Select your option and schedule directly online

You can also send a direct message if you have questions before booking.

It’s time to stop escalating medication and start changing the physiology.

After NKU’s 2026 Homecoming, many expressed concerns about the lack of impactful programming for Black students and alumni. While continuing to honor the legacy of the NKU Black Alumni Council (founded in 2015 and dissolved by the NKU administration in response to the House Bill 4 in Kentucky) BANK and dedicated partners are building what’s next — together.

Interested? Complete the interest form by Sunday, Feb. 15, so that we can plan a meeting and set things in motion.

Hey folks. The NKU NPHC stepshow will be held Friday, February 6. Get tickets and support.
