A Norse leading the way in Kentucky education.

Molly Seifert, a four-time NKU alumna and English teacher at Beechwood High School, has been named the 2027 Kentucky Teacher of the Year.

She will represent Kentucky in the National Teacher of the Year competition. Congratulations, Molly! We’re proud to call you a Norse.

Where Are They Now Wednesday: Nearly 30 years after starting her NKU journey, Shauna Dunlevy ’01 is still finding ways to stay connected to the university she called home.

From dancing on the NKU Dance Team and teaching fitness at the NKU Campus Recreation Center as a student to now leading Cardio Sculpt classes every Sunday, Shauna has made movement and community a lifelong part of her Norse story. Today, she’s also a wife, mom of four and school mental health therapist, and still making time for the CRC, NKU basketball and the campus community she loves.

Talk about a full-circle Norse experience.

NKU graduate Jaycie Bussell ’25 is taking her engineering career around the world. After earning bachelor’s degrees in Mechatronics Engineering Technology and Electrical and Electronics Engineering Technology, Jaycie joined Bosch’s Rotational Development Program, gaining hands-on experience in robotics, automation and controls engineering.

She’s now completing an international assignment in Germany, where she’s learning from industry experts, expanding her technical knowledge and gaining a global perspective on the future of engineering and industrial technology.

We’re proud to see a Norse taking her NKU experience across the globe. We can’t wait to see where she goes next.
