Jen Ungerleider is an exception partner in First-Year Student Success through her leadership, dedication and commitment. Jen serves on the First Year Experience Task Force Committee, contributing valuable insights and helping to shape the future of first-year student initiatives. She often steps up to help guide the conversations with this group and present ideas. As the faculty coordinator of INF 100 int eh College of Informatics, Jen continuously engages in process improvements to enhance the curriculum and ensure a high-quality learning experience for students. Notably, she recently was recognized for her outstanding work with assessing learning objectives for this course. Jen also represents COI and the Informatics Student Success and Advising Center at key events, such as the FYE Party on the Plaza, where she plays a vital role in welcoming and engaging first year students as they transition advisors. Additionally, Jen goes above and beyond by meeting with incoming students after hours to interview for the prestigious LIFE scholarship program and then supports selected students as their primary first-year advisor, demonstrating a strong commitment to their academic and personal growth. Jen is personable and makes strong connections with campus partners and is a true asset to first year students and FYE efforts at NKU.
