Philosophy at Northern Kentucky University

This year NKU’s Ethics Bowl Team nearly won a bid to the National Competition. The top three teams in the Annual Central State Regional competition are invited to go on to Nationals—this year’s team came in 5th overall. This is NKU’s best showing since the university began participating in the competition back in 2008. NKU’s team included Aaron Devers, Kennedy Hall, and Isabel Sleczkowski. The Ethics Bowl coach is Dr. Robert Brice.

Six@Six Returns with Under One Roof: The African American Experience in Music Hall

The 2020-21 season of Six@Six opens on Tuesday, Sept. 15, at 6 p.m. with Thea Tjepkema, historic preservationist and Cincinnati Music Hall historian. Experience the history of African Americans whose determination and artistry helped forge the ethos of our city and laid the foundation of American music. This series will be presented via Zoom and sponsored by Scripps Howard Center for Civic Engagement, Thomas More University, the Behringer-Crawford Museum’s Northern Kentucky History Hour and the Northern Kentucky Forum.
