t's NKU Founder’s Day! A day to come together to honor our past and invest in the future of the MPA program and university.
In 2021, the MPA community raised more than $3,200 for the MPA program and Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Scholarship! Over half of that amount was from winning two NKU challenges throughout the day. We won these challenges with a number of big and small donations, so know that small donations matter!
Will you help us get to $3,700 this year? There is an early morning challenge until 9:00 a.m. this morning. The fund with the most donors will earn an extra $1,000! If you are planning to make a donation today, please consider doing so before 9:00 a.m. to help us win this challenge!
A $25 or more gift will enter you for a chance to win some MPA swag (MPA hat, MPA drinking glass, koozies, phone wallets and more). For gifts of $54 or more, you will also receive the NKU extra soft long sleeve exclusive t-shirt. When you give a gift of any amount, you will be entered to win two round-trip Delta Air Lines tickets to anywhere in the continental US.

Welcome back, all returning students and welcome to the program to those new to the MPA program. If you are looking for a way to connect with others, sharing the same passion for public service and want to support our community, joining PASS is a great option. Meetings occur every other month, with community service or social gathering events in between. We would love to have as many members as possible to grow our presence on campus and in the community. Members from PASS will take part in the NKU MLK Day of Service this year. The MLK Day of Service will take place on Monday January 17th, 2022, to honor the life and legacy of Dr. King by serving our local community through a variety of service projects and programs.

For planning, please register by December 3rd if you are able to attend. We welcome all alum, staff, current students, and friends to join us! Students, when registering, please include Public Administration Student Society as the organization you will be representing.

NKU MPA PASS

The Public Administration Student Society (PASS) is an organization that was created by students to enhance their experience at NKU. Members participate in community service projects and schedule guest lectures on topics of interest to MPA students. The group provides opportunities for networking and serves as an excellent resume builder.

The next meeting will take place virtually on Thursday, November 18th at 7:00 p.m. and there will be a service event in December. Keep an eye out for more information soon!

Save the date(s) for Pi Alpha Alpha's first-ever Virtual Summit -- October 25 and 26! The first day of this FREE event will be geared toward chapter advisors of the PAA honor society, and the second day toward current and prospective members. It will be a great opportunity to learn more about various careers in the public, nonprofit, and related sectors and also to network with professionals across the country and around the world.

NKU's Public Administration Student Society (PASS) will meet virtually this Thursday (September 23) at 6:30 p.m. PASS is an inclusive student organization that enhances networking, socializing, and service opportunities for MPA students, alumni, and others. PASS will be voluntering with Maslow's Army on November 1st! From 10:00 am to 2:00 pm at the Hamilton County Justice Center Plaza, volunteers will assist in the Sunday Basic Needs Outreach program.
