Jackson College - Letarte Center, Hillsdale The LeTarte Center is equipped with a state of the art science lab, Wi-Fi capability and two desktop computer labs. Computers are available in the student

The LeTarte Center opened in the winter semester of 1991 with enrollment of 367 students in 38 classes. The center has continued to grow and now has more than 500 students in more than 100 classes including course offerings at Camden-Frontier High School and Will Carleton Academy. Classes at the LeTarte Center consist of traditional academic transfer classes, classes in accounting, allied health,

business, criminal justice, graphic design, nursing and more. Computers are available in the student lobby for student use when the building is open.

Celebrating Dr. Geri Jacobs and Instructor Payge Hodapp, recipients of Scholarship of Teaching and Learning (SoTL) Awards for advancing the use of AI in teaching! Jacobs explored intentional AI integration in ENG 132: Writing and Research, focusing on AI literacy, rhetorical analysis, critical thinking and reflection. Hodapp investigated AI in the nontechnical HPF 160: Wellness course, developing custom AI applications to support personal wellness, reflection and behavior change.

Both transformed their classroom innovations into case studies and shared their work with fellow educators. Their research is shaping classrooms and inspiring educators locally and nationwide. Well done! 👏
