We loved seeing all our Sandsharks at the RBC Heritage Golf Tournament last week! Once again, Prof. Sean Barth, PhD has lead his team of students to connect with and work alongside vendors from around the state. RBC Heritage is the largest sporting event in the state of South Carolina, we are lucky to be able to be so involved! If you are interested in participating next year don’t hesitate to reach out! One of the best things about USCB’s location is our ability to provide students with opportunities to gain experience in such world class events. Until next year we can’t wait to get back out on the course!!!

This past weekend we had the pleasure of hosting Viking River Cruises’ very own Bret Dalgaard (Director of Business Development) and Kathy Kennedy of Cruise Planners! They spoke with community members about the exciting experience Viking has to offer! Students served up an amazing spread of Hor d’oeuvres for our guests as they sipped on glasses of wine provided by the Hilton Head Wine and Food Festival. Viking River Cruises offer destination-focused journeys along the world’s most iconic rivers, combining comfortable ships with culturally immersive excursions. Known for its elegant, adults-only experience, it emphasizes enrichment, regional cuisine, and guided tours at every stop.

Happy Easter from USCB Hospitality! Hallelujah!! Easter Sunday is a special holiday- one where families get together and celebrate renewal and resurrection.
Here in the lowcountry, we have our own little Easter Bunny, the Marsh Rabbit! This small dark-brown member of the Cottontail family lacks the white tail of both the Eastern Cottontail and the Swamp Rabbit. Found in swamps and bottomlands, it is a strong swimmer, never straying far from water. With short hind legs, it walks more like a cat, though it can hop when necessary. It is mainly active at night and feeds on marsh vegetation. Have you ever seen a Marsh Rabbit on or around campus?

If you are coming to class on HHi today please be cautious, the kitchen is locked down due to a Bob-Cat being loose in the building.
Officer Bruce has confined the animal to the Kitchen, unfortunately we aren’t sure if Dr. Barth has made it out. Additionally it’s April 1rst and we hope everyone has a great day!
