A big round of applause goes to Lizbeth RodrĂ­guez GonzĂĄlez, class of 2027, for her recent selection to the American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA) Special Interest Section (SIS) internship program.

Lizbeth will serve on the Academic Education SIS where she will collaborate with educators on the future of OT education, including professors, fieldwork coordinators, doctoral capstone coordinators, and admissions committees.

A moment of celebration!

A group of OTD Honolulu graduates and professors recently published their first peer-reviewed article in Behavioral Sciences, an international peer-reviewed journal.

Their article – which started as an assignment in the Scholarly Practice course – highlights what HPU has long championed: Culturally responsive, evidence-based care is vital to the health and well-being of clients and communities.
