Did You Know? The Center for Korean Studies is the oldest and largest Korean studies institution outside Korea.
📍Established in 1972, the Center for Korean Studies coordinates and develops resources for the study of Korea at the University of Hawai‘i at Mānoa. The Center seeks to promote interdisciplinary and intercultural approaches to Korean studies. Our faculty members specializes in all disciplines such as anthropology, Asian studies, business, communication, dance, economics, history, journalism, language, law, linguistics, literature, music, political science, social work, and sociology are regularly offered.
With the largest concentration of Korean specialists and resources in any University outside of Korea, the Center strives to be the premier institution for the study of Korea in the United States
