Committee Member Requirements and Expectations
1. Committee members must attend UH Relay For Life events including committee meetings, team captain meetings, RelayU (December 3), Committee Retreats (October 22 and March 3), Kick-off (Januar
y 12), fundraisers, and Relay For Life (April 14). Committee Meetings will be held monthly. Additional Committee Meetings may be held as needed as we get closer to the Relay
With the exception given to major emergencies, all committee members MUST be available for the ENTIRE Relay event in April 14th, including set up around 10a.m. until clean up on Sunday until about 11a.m.
2. Four-day long tabling sessions are held at least once a month. Each committee member is asked to help for at least a hour or 2 each week this occurs, unless previously discussed to make up for week days with weekend grocery or sporting event tabling. Please show up energetic, ready to pass out quarter sheets, share information, sell shirts/paraphernalia and solicit donations to make this important publicity effort all it can be.
3. Committee members are required to fundraise at least $150 (the suggested minimum).
4. Committee members are required to register online before the Relay kick off in January.
5. Committee members must be willing to make new friends, have a ton of fun, work hard towards meeting deadlines, and be passionate about doing all they can to help fight cancer!
