Be sure to check out the exciting film screenings of Philippine and Filipino diaspora Films at the 46th Hawaii International Film Festival presented by Halekulani (HIFF46), scheduled for October 21-November 5 on Oahu.

Of note is the International premiere of 2 VALID IDs. The director, Ma-an L. Asuncion-Dagñalan, will arrive from Manila to present her film, which is also nominated for the NETPAC Award for Best Asian Film at HIFF46.

Filipina designer, artist and educator, Ara Laylo returns with her unique style. As the designer of the Filipino American History Warrior logo, she was asked to design the baseball jersey this year.
Embedding the original H warrior logo weave pattern in “Hawaii” took artistry and precision. Her work stands at the intersection of visual communication, cultural identity, and community. Maraming Salamat and Mabuhay Pag-ibig Ara Laylo ✨
