Aloha AUSA members!

Please mark your calendars for February 19th to join us in a live-action game of Clue in Downtown Waikiki! Clued Upp games is coming to Oʻahu with a murder investigation for teams to investigate!

AUSA has purchased two team tickets. Teams can be up to 6 people, so we have potential for 12 participants. You can bring your friends, your family, even your dog (responsibly)! Teams must come up with a team name and decide on creative dress for the event. Clued Upp awards the most creative team name and most creative team costumes for the day.

Teams will determine when they want to start between the hours of 9am-2pm and should be expected to take an average of 2-3 hours to complete. Water and snacks will be provided for the teams.

Because of our limited space, we require an RSVP in an email response to [email protected]. Please include the following information:
- Full name
- Best contact number and email
- If you are willing to drive with passengers from your team

More details will be provided as teams fill up, so RSVP fast!

The Anthropology Undergraduate Student Association recently had our first event of the year, “Romancing the Stone: A Virtual Introduction to the Art & Study of Lithic/Stone Tool Technology”!

Dr. Peterson, along with a few AUSA members, were knapping live via Zoom from the UHM Archaeology Laboratory. Our audience members were able to learn the basic mechanics of ancient stone tool-making. Thank you everyone for tuning in!

If you are interested in learning more, be sure to check out Dr. Peterson’s upcoming Spring 2022 course, ANTH 473: Lithic Artifact Assemblage Analysis, a combined in-person lecture/lab on the manufacture and analysis of stone tools! Students will engage in stone tool production, working with experimental collections, and learn about the ways in which lithics enlightens us about past human behavior.
