This week’s professional learning session featured Dr. Richard Medina, Associate Faculty Specialist in Human-Computer Interaction in CLT, who spoke about harvesting data from YouTube video comments for language research and teaching.

The session introduced how to obtain an API to use the data properly, how to use Communalytic to download and analyze data, and how AI can facilitate compiling a small corpus for research purposes.

Stay tuned for the upcoming session on Multilingual NLP with spaCy, in two weeks, Wednesday (3/25) at 3 pm. Register here: https://forms.gle/ycCTRV7zhzkbPqmW8 (Online participation available; register to receive the Zoom link)
