Meet Dr. Angelica Alen, a Quantum University graduate whose own experience with cancer inspired her to learn more, share her story, and help others take an active role in their well-being.
In 2018, Angelica was diagnosed with stage 3B bowel cancer while raising two young children. Following emergency surgery and during chemotherapy, she began learning about nutrition, introducing exercise, and caring for her mental and emotional health alongside her treatment. When she recovered, her corporate career no longer fit. She wanted to help others, and she knew she needed more education and tools to do it.
That search led her to Quantum University in October 2020, where she enrolled in the Quantum Health Coach and Bachelor to PhD track in Natural Medicine. She explored the research behind what she had lived, found a mentor in Dr. Stephen who guided her through her thesis, and in July 2025 traveled from Australia to Hawaiʻi to celebrate her PhD at graduation.
“I felt like I met my tribe, and it was very inspiring to see that so many people are choosing to study at Quantum University even though they come from different backgrounds and from different experiences.”
Today, Dr. Alen runs I Love Painting with her husband in Brisbane, where she continues to share her story and support the well-being of her clients and employees.
