Last week, we started our sorority year grounded in purpose with our chapter prayer call, “Grace Before Greatness.” Led by our very own Lambda Zeta Chapter member and Southern Regional Chaplain, Rev. Dr. Vondel Smith-Sloan, alongside her dedicated team of prayer warriors, it was a truly spirit-filled gathering.

Together, we lifted up prayers for spiritual guidance and strength, education and employment, family and relationships, healing, health, wholeness, and our beloved sisterhood.

Sorors shared that it was exactly what was needed to set the tone for the months ahead, leaving us all deeply encouraged, inspired, and refreshed. There is no better way to enter a new sorority year than in unified prayer and sisterhood. 💙✨

This past weekend, the ladies of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated, Lambda Zeta Chapter rolled up our sleeves and spent the morning serving alongside the Houston Food Bank.

There’s something special about serving our community shoulder-to-shoulder with your sorors. Between the boxes, teamwork, laughter, and plenty of blue, we were reminded that service isn’t simply something we do, it’s part of who we are.

Every hour volunteered and every helping hand contributes to a much bigger mission: supporting Houston families and strengthening the community we proudly call home.

Thank you to every soror who came ready to work, serve, and represent Lambda Zeta with excellence. This is how we kick off a new sorority year, with our hands to the work and our hearts committed to service. 💙
