Are you admitted and ready to join the Celt family?

Orientation is a mandatory event for all incoming freshmen. The 16th or the 17th is mandatory for all of our online students.

The Traditional Orientation on the 2nd is required for our Pragmatic students.

If you are interested in attending the other dates, please reach out for more information. August 2nd will be filled with games and activities and include ALL of our incoming class, while our Kolbe Orientation will be a more intimate, informative experience where we will be offering info on how to navigate your online courses, resource info, as well as an opportunity to meet your faculty and staff.

If you have yet to attend orientation, please register for our August dates. Orientation is an immersive experience to meet your peers, learn the Celt culture, and get the helpful resources you need at UST.

El verano se está calentando, al igual que las parrillas de carbón en la Universidad de St. Thomas-Houston para la 2da competencia anual Grill Master, patrocinada por el Programa de Estudios Pragmáticos, el viernes 16 de junio, de 10 a. m. a 3 p. m., en el Centro Comercial Vida Campus. Se alienta a la comunidad más grande de Houston a asistir y disfrutar de la deliciosa comida, la gente maravillosa y el entretenimiento en vivo. Entonces, únase a la diversión y llene sus estómagos con buenas comidas mientras contribuye a un fantástico fondo de becas para estudios pragmáticos. Los boletos cuestan $25 para este delicioso evento. Este evento práctico y divertido es parte del primer campamento anual de verano de estudios pragmáticos para 25 futuros estudiantes. El Programa de Estudios Pragmáticos, ubicado en la Escuela Kolbe de Innovación y Estudios Profesionales, está diseñado para estudiantes que tienen diferencias de aprendizaje que interfieren con su éxito en entornos escolares tradicionales. El programa ofrece la oportunidad de obtener un título de asociado en ciencias aplicadas a los estudiantes que funcionan demasiado bien para los programas vocacionales pero que necesitan más apoyo que el que se encuentra en el plan de estudios universitario tradicional. Anima a los equipos competidores de estudiantes de cocina En cuanto a los cocineros, los estudiantes de Pragmatic Studies, bajo la dirección de un chef profesional, se dividirán en varios equipos de parrilla de dos personas con nombres divertidos y feroces. Todos empuñarán sus tenazas y trabajarán con costillas. La Dra. Tera Torres, presidenta del Programa de Estudios Pragmáticos, explicó: “El aprendizaje experiencial es el proceso de aprender haciendo, y en este curso en particular, los estudiantes participan en muchas actividades. Crean tableros de visión, establecen metas personales y van a las comunidades del área con socorristas”. El Dr. Torres agregó: “La competencia Grill Master es una extensión natural del rol de servicio que todos estamos llamados a adoptar.
