We had so many amazing pictures from the Eric’s Club events, we needed to make another post 😊 We loved hearing from the fall 2025 presenter, Brad Dorsey (’91), founder and co-owner of Deluxe Vanilla & Crave Cupcakes!

We would also like to recognize the EC Insights panelists and moderator for providing such an engaging and informative conversation about ‘Mega-Event Tourism: Who’s the Biggest Winner?’ Moderator Victoria Wooten (’25) did a wonderful job bridging the conversation between panelists Kelly de Schaun (’91); Robert Thrailkill (’82); and Erin Kenyan (’98).

Finally, thank you to all our superstar Eric’s Club members, who spoke with our students one-on-one during the Meet & Greet. It’s always so refreshing to see how many of our students show up on Eric’s Club days to network with such outstanding leaders in the field.

Each semester, we look forward to hosting and spotlighting a leader within our expansive and impactful industry. This semester, we had the honor of learning from Brad Dorsey (’91), founder and co-owner of Deluxe Vanilla & Crave Cupcakes!

Last week, we had such a special visit from the Planck family!

Robert D. “Bob” (’71) and Sharron Planck will forever be beloved members of the Hilton College family. Bob was in the first graduating class at our College and was a longstanding member of Eric’s Club and the Dean’s Advisory Board. Bob and Sharron generously supported the creation of the Planck Family Student Lobby, a welcoming, inclusive and dynamic environment for all of our students.

In their honor, their daughter-in-law, Mayson Planck, her children, Brett and Amanda, as well as family member Bridget Costello and her husband, Roger, visited our College. The group met with Dean Dennis Reynolds, as he presented the Planck Donor Wall installation. They also went on a personalized college tour, led by Ambassador Roy Hernandez.

Thank you, Planck family for your endless support. We are honored to have you forever a part of our community and we are so proud to show you how Bob and Sharron’s legacy will never be forgotten at UH.

🎉 Last week, we had the honor of hosting the 44th Eric Hilton Distinguished Chair Alumni Lecture Series with the incredible Dr. Agnes DeFranco (’83, MBA ’89, Ed.D. ’93) as our speaker! 🌟 A Hilton College professor and the Conrad N. Hiilton Distinguished Chair, many of our Eric’s Club members actually learned from Dr. DrFranco while they were students here! Dr. DeFranco is a beloved member of our community, as reflected by the need to expand seating into a secondary room for the first-time ever! Many who attended her lecture were moved by Dr. DeFranco’s ability to recount numerous names of past students, mentors and colleagues who have had an impact on her professionally. This gave the speech a special touch of personalization, care, grace and selflessness.

Thank you for your immense care for your craft, Dr. DeFranco. -We’re beyond privileged to have you.

Thursday, Oct. 10 is the 44th Eric Hilton Distinguished Chair Alumni Lecture Series! Featuring Dr. Agnes DeFranco ('83, MBA '89, Ed.D. '93), the informative presentation will be held from 10-11:20 a.m. in Hilton College room S104, then there will be an Eric's Club member and student Meet & Greet after!
