Catholic Student Ministry at the Texas Medical Center

Welcome to the Catholic faith community of the students, faculty and staff of the schools of the Texas Medical Center. The Catholic Student Ministries at the Texas Medical Center is a new ministry of the Office of Young Adult and Campus Ministry of the Archdiocese of Galveston-Houston. Our goal is to strengthen the faith of the students of the TMC preparing for careers in healthcare and the health

science professions. We seek to build up the community of Catholics with opportunities for fellowship, prayer and spiritual enrichment, growth in an understanding of the faith (especially as it relates to the health science fields) and service in the name of Christ to the larger community. Working in the health care professions offers unique opportunities for, and challenges to, living out one’s Catholic faith. The Catholic Student Ministry at the TMC is here to serve spiritual and religious needs of those working in the health science professions. We offer opportunities for:

Prayer and growth in faith
* Mass and prayer as a Catholic community

Deeper understanding of the Catholic faith
* Guest speakers on topics related to medicine and health care
* Lunch time discussions

Fellowship with other Catholics studying and working in the health care fields
