It’s time to rally for a fantastic cause. Join the Penn State Alumni Association, Houston Chapter, for our 2026 THON Bar Crawl on Saturday, May 16th. Let’s enjoy a day of connection, fun, and giving back to help conquer childhood cancer!
​🗓 The Schedule:
​We will be hitting four local spots throughout the afternoon:
​4:00 PM: Bungalow Heights
​5:00 PM: Moonshine Deck
​6:00 PM: Eureka Heights
​7:00 PM: McIntyre’s
​📍 Important Details:
​When: Saturday, May 16th
​RSVP: Please RSVP by May 15th to ensure we have a headcount. Link in bio to register!
​Contribution: There is a suggested donation of $20. All proceeds go directly to THON!

On behalf of the Smeal College of Business, thank you for attending Smeal in Your City tonight. It was a pleasure getting to know you all in such an intimate setting. I truly enjoyed our discussions regarding how to stay involved with Smeal and the Penn State Houston Alumni Association, and how we can continue to make a difference through events like this.

Please let me know if you would like to be added to a new group I am forming specifically for Penn State Smeal alumni in Houston.

As a member of the Smeal College of Business Alumni Society Board, the Penn State Alumni Society Board, and the Houston chapter board, I am eager to share your feedback with leadership. Key takeaways from our conversation included:

1. Increasing involvement with alumni new to the area.
2. Enhancing engagement with recent graduates.
3. Strategies for broader outreach and participation.
4. Encouraging everyone to update their contact records and invite friends to do the same.
5. Developing more community programs benefiting THON, the Big Ten, and other initiatives.

On Monday, February 17, from 7–9 p.m.(6pm CST), grab your paintbrushes and join us for PSAA Presents: Virtual Paint Night with State College artist Jackie Gianico.

This session features a winter-inspired painting of a skier carving down Tussey Mountain, capturing that classic Happy Valley winter magic.

Whether you’re a seasoned artist or the type who still panics at a blank canvas, all Penn Staters are welcome. No pressure, just good vibes, good company, and a very paint-friendly evening.

Exciting news for Penn State fans — Penn State Softball is coming to Houston!
The team will be here for a weekend tournament February 13–15, and it’s a great chance to cheer them on right here in Texas.
PSU will play two games on Friday at the University of Houston’s softball field against Incarnate Word at 1 p.m. and UH at 6 p.m.
Then the Nittany Lions will head to Houston Christian University's Husky Field on Saturday to face Lafayette at noon then Houston Christian at 2:30 p.m.
PSU wraps up play back at UH’s softball field with a big game against rival Pittsburgh at noon.
Admission to Saturday’s games at HCU is FREE! So is parking!

If you’re in town that weekend, come out to support the team and show some Penn State pride. It should be a fun series and a great opportunity to connect with other Penn Staters in the area.

Who: Everyone, including incoming Penn State students and their families
Where: Hermann Park Bayou Park Picnic Pavilion (6532 Almeda Road, Houston, Texas 77021)

Drinks and water will be provided, but you are welcome to bring your own coolers! We ask that alums in odd years bring an entree while even-year alums bring a side dish!
