UHCL IEEE Student Branch IEEE opens the door to opportunities that will help you develop your professional identity in IEEE's designated fields of interest.

The purpose shall be the dissemination of knowledge of the theory and
practice of all aspects of electrical engineering, electronics, radio, allied
branches of engineering or the related arts and sciences, as well as the
furtherance of the professional development of the Students.

This week we are recognizing the "father of the third rail", Bion J Arnold pioneered street railways in numerous cities across the United States and helped bring electricity to NewYork's Grand Central Station. In addition to his work on railways, Arnold also invented a magnetic clutch and improved storage batteries. Arnold served as AIEE President(a predecessor to IEEE) in 1903 nad 1904.
