Welcome to Tiger Land, Coach Lowery!

Welcome, Coach Lowery 🐯🏀

Texas Southern University proudly welcomes Corey Lowery as its next head coach of Men’s Basketball!

Lowery brings 27 years of coaching experience, 13 seasons as a collegiate head coach, and a 266-73 career head-coaching record to Houston. Most recently, he spent four seasons as an assistant coach at Seton Hall University, where he was part of a staff that helped the Pirates capture the 2024 NIT National Championship.

Prior to Seton Hall, Lowery served as head coach at Lincoln University (Pa.), leading the Lions to a second-place finish in the CIAA Northern Division and earning CIAA Coach of the Year honors in 2021-22.

His championship résumé also includes six consecutive regular-season conference championships, five consecutive region championships, and five NJCAA Division II Tournament appearances during his time at Essex County College.

Now, he brings that winning tradition, experience, and leadership to Tiger Nation as Texas Southern prepares for its next chapter of championship basketball.

A two-time National Athletics Director of the Year and veteran SWAC leader, Robinson brings a proven record of championship success, academic achievement and transformative leadership to Texas Southern.

With more than 25 years of experience in collegiate athletics, including leadership roles at Prairie View A&M and Jackson State, Robinson is ready to build on the proud tradition of Tiger Athletics and lead the department into its next era of sustained excellence.

It was truly special to have her address our incoming freshman class, sharing her wisdom and experience as she welcomed the next generation of Texas Southern University trailblazers.
