Good evening, Brothers! It’s time for our third ⭐️Beta Sigma Spotlight⭐️ of the semester! Our honored Brother and MC of the week are…

⭐️Brother of the Week: Caitlyn Colca! Caitlyn joined us last year after growing up in Cypress, and is currently working to get a degree in Music Education while serving as our Treasurer. In addition, Caitlyn plays both flute for her degree and baritone for Spirit of Houston/Cougar Brass! Talk about range! 🤩

⭐️MC of the Week: Savannah Riley! Savannah is currently a sophomore in the Environmental Design program at the prestigious Hines College of Architecture and Design! Though she no longer marches, she makes sure to keep busy by refining her botanical skills by serving as the VP of the UH Horticultural Society! Looks like she’ll be the one to talk to once the dorm plant your roommate “promised” to water wilts…

Bonus fact about the two: they’re both roommates! (Alongside another MC, Zach!)

That’s it for today, Brothers! Keep an eye out for a special post about our 75th Anniversary Gala tomorrow! AEA and GO COOGS!!! 💙⭐️🤍

Good evening, Brothers! We’ve got our second edition of the ⭐️Beta Sigma Spotlight⭐️ ready to share with you!! Our highlight Brother and MC of the week are…

⭐️Brother of the Week: Chris Andrade! Originally from Splendora, TX, Chris not only juggles being our fearless leader in his role as President, but also plays trombone for SOH and Cougar Brass, on top of getting his Master’s Degree in Statistics and Data Science! In addition, he will be graduating in May, with intentions to pursue a doctorate next fall.

⭐️MC of the Week: Grant Schwartz! Grant got his start here at UH this fall after coming from the city of Round Rock to pursue a degree in Computer Science, which he will obtain in 2028. Keep an eye out for this high-spirited redhead- he might knock you off your feet playing sousaphone in both Spirit of Houston and Cougar Brass! (Though… maybe don’t ask him to make you a PB&J…)

That’s it for this week- keep an eye out for our next spotlight, coming at you every Sunday! AEA and GO COOGS, Brothers!!! 💙⭐️🤍

With this year’s recruitment season slowly coming to a close (don’t forget you have until the 15th to fill out the form to be considered for a bid!), we at Beta Sigma wanted to ask both our current and alumni brothers alike what makes joining our chapter so special. From focus on service, musicianship, and lifelong brotherhood, there’s something for everyone in Kappa Kappa Psi.

Still unsure at the last minute whether you would like to be considered for a bid? Don’t hesitate to contact a brother and ask !

Let’s finish out this semester strong- GO COOGS and AEA! 🤟

Now that you’ve already met our Big Four, it’s time to introduce the rest of our awesome executive team!

Please join us in welcoming a group of brothers from our newest line, Delta Lambda, to our Executive Team! This group consists of our Treasurer (Caitlyn Colca, ‘27), Secretary (Luis Trevino, ‘26), Historian (Abby Vickery, ‘26), Alumni Relations Officer (Xavier Brown, ‘27), Social Activities Coordinator or SAC (Erik Altamirano, ‘27), and Music Chair (Zach Harper, ‘27)!

Each one of these executive members commits to be an example of conducting themselves with Honor, Integrity, Respect, and Loyalty, and they help all of our brothers make this chapter the best it can be!

We’re also proud to note that our executive officers aren’t just music majors; their interests range from mathematics, to law, to fashion, to history, and to engineering! They represent the diversity this fraternity celebrates, all while uplifting better bands and musicians.

If you see any of our executive team brothers, please feel more than welcome to say hi! We would love to get to know you!

Go Coogs, Beat Rice, and AEA!!! 🤟🏻💙🤍
