a mayor, a legislator, an advocate, a father… a friend.

But to us—
he was a Brother.

So, for his 18th Annual Day in the Park event, this wasn’t about participation…
it was about the continuation of his legacy.

Before the crowd… there was commitment.
Before the celebration… there was service.

Coming together not to be seen—
but to serve.

To prepare a space where families could gather,
laugh, and feel what true community looks like.

Because honoring a legacy isn’t something you say…
it’s something you show—through the work it requires.

Real impact doesn’t always happen behind a podium, or in some fancy building,
sometimes it happens with dirt on your hands, sweat on your back,
and a commitment to leave something better than you found it.

This is what it looks like when advocacy meets action.

This is how communities are rebuilt—
from the ground up. Men and women willing to roll up their sleeves, stand side by side,
