🎓 One of the most inspiring moments of Cleary University's 2026 Commencement came when Sheron Adams collected her hard-earned MBA.
As Sheron made her way across the stage, the entire arena erupted in applause and rose to its feet in a standing ovation.
That moment was supposed to happen two years earlier.
Just days before her original commencement ceremony in 2024, Sheron was in a tragic accident that left her paralyzed. What should have been a celebration of her academic achievement became the beginning of a long and challenging recovery journey.
But Sheron never gave up.
After spending the past two years healing, rebuilding and finding her strength, she returned to commencement this spring to finally claim the degree she worked so hard to earn.
“Cleary opened a door that showed me what the next chapter of my life could look like.”
A retired Detroit Police Department corporal, Sheron earned both her bachelor's degree and MBA through Cleary's accelerated program and is already looking toward her next goal — pursuing a doctoral degree.
Sheron, your courage, perseverance and determination inspired every person in that arena. We are honored to celebrate this milestone with you.
❤️ Congratulations, Sheron!
