This time of year is busy for the MUPA program. As we're getting ready to celebrate our 4th graduating class with a hooding ceremony this Friday, 5/8, at 9am and the University Commencement on Saturday, 5/9, at 9am, we're also looking ahead to our White Coat Ceremony to celebrate the Class of 2028.
The white coat stands as a symbol that students will be venturing into the clinical world to gain valuable experience with real-life patients - experiences that they will remember and use to make themselves the best providers possible. In our program, didactic students receive their white coats after the first semester so that they may go to the Hershel Woody Williams VA Medical Center and interact with patients to practice their History and Physical skills, better preparing them for next year's clinical rotations.
As we have in the past, we're opening up the opportunity for friends, family, and community members to show support for the Class of 2028 by donating towards their white coat ceremony. If you're interested, visit the link below for instructions and more information:
