We are celebrating Housing and Residence Life staff who graduate this semester, and today we recognize Graduate Assistant of Front Desk Operations Alex Harwood 🎓

Alex graduates with a master’s degree in Business Administration with an emphasis on Human Resources. Alex’s favorite memory of his time as a GA is playing with his band .noise.complaint on the float in the homecoming parade. After graduation, Alex will continue being a GA while he completes a second master’s degree.

Congratulations to Alex 🎉 We are grateful for his continued time with us and wish him the best with his next degree.

Move-out is in full swing, and we are checking in with important reminders about the check out process. Here are the steps to properly check out of your residence hall.

🧹Remove all personal items and clean your room.

🗑️Take out the trash.

đź“«Check and empty your mailbox.

✉️Pick up a checkout envelope from your designated front desk

đź“ťFill it out completely and legibly.

🔑Give your room and mailbox keys to the Desk Assistant to verify the key codes.

🤝When the DA returns the keys, place them in the checkout envelope, seal it, and hand it to them.

✍️Sign your room and mailbox key control cards.

âś…Once all steps are finished, your checkout is complete!

We are celebrating Housing and Residence Life staff who graduate this semester, and today we recognize First Year South Resident Advisor Daniella Ewing 🎓 
 
Daniella graduates with a bachelor’s degree in Social Work with a minor in Psychology and certificate in Child Welfare.  Her favorite memories of her time as an RA “are all the connections I’ve made with my residents and other RAs. I’ve gained lifelong friendships that I consider family.”  After graduation, she will work for the WV Department of Human Services while attending the University of Kentucky, pursuing a master’s degree in Social Work with a clinical focus.  
 
Congratulations to Daniella 🎉 While we will miss her, we are grateful for her time with us and wish her all the best in her next chapter.

We are celebrating Housing and Residence Life staff who graduate this semester, and today we recognize First Year North Resident Advisor Kaylee Baker 🎓 
 
Kaylee graduates with a bachelor’s degree in Geology.  Her favorite memories of her time as an RA are “the friendships I have made with staff, as well as getting to leave an impact on residents while they are in my hall and then getting to see them grow and continue their college careers after they have left my hall.”  After graduation, Kaylee will work in Colorado for the summer before returning to Huntington in the fall to continue her career as a Geologist.

We are celebrating Housing and Residence Life staff who graduate this semester, and today we recognize Desk Assistant Kassidy Jarvis 🎓 
 
Kassidy graduates with an associate’s degree in Nursing from Marshall and the St. Mary’s School of Nursing.  According to Kassidy “I greatly appreciated the opportunity to meet, engage with, and get to know so many people throughout my time as a DA.”  After graduation, she plans to move back to her hometown of Charleston where she will work as an RN.

We are celebrating Housing and Residence Life staff who graduate this semester, and today we recognize First Year South Resident Advisor Sidney Harrison 🎓 
 
Sidney graduates with a bachelor of science degree in Nursing.  Her favorite memories of her time as an RA are “all the football games I went to with both past residents and RA friends. Being an RA brought me some of the best friends I have ever had, and I’ve loved being an RA while having my younger sister in the dorms with me.” After graduation, Sidney will work at WVU Medicine Thomas Hospitals’ ICU.

We are celebrating Housing and Residence Life staff who graduate this semester, and today we recognize First Year South Resident Advisor Maegan Jolly 🎓 
 
Maegan graduates with a bachelor of science degree in Nursing.  Her favorite memories of her time as an RA “are the friends that I have gained through being an RA and going to Carter Caves to explore.” After graduation, Maegan will begin working at Cabell Huntington Hospital as a labor and delivery nurse.

We are celebrating Housing and Residence Life staff who graduate this semester, and today we recognize Twin Towers East Resident Advisor Emily Dougherty 🎓 
 
Emily graduates with a degree in Nursing.  Her favorite part of being an RA has been “connecting with my residents and making Marshall feel like a home away from home!”  After graduation, Emily will begin working as an RN in the Emergency Department at Charleston Area Medical Center while continuing her education in Marshall’s BSN program.

Adriana graduates with a bachelor’s degree in Political Science. Her favorite memories of her time as an RA are “all the [ones] that I have created with my coworkers from stopping to talk when we see each other to always eating lunch and dinner during training.” After graduation, Adriana will further her education at James Madison University.
