Members of the Huntington Alumni Chapter were honored to welcome the newest graduates at the AM Commencement by handing out Marshall alumni shirts and celebrating this exciting milestone with them.

Congratulations to the Class of 2026 — your Marshall journey doesn’t end at graduation, it’s only beginning! We are proud to call you fellow Sons & Daughters of Marshall. 💚🤍

🎉 Leadership Spotlight: Jill Jackson 🎉

We’re proud to celebrate Jill Jackson as the new President of the Marshall University Alumni Association Board of Directors! 💚

A Wayne High School (Class of 1984) and Marshall University (Class of 1988, B.A. in Public Relations) graduate, Jill has long been a dedicated member of the Herd family. Her journey with the Alumni Association began in 2020, when she was recruited by Mendy Aluise—and she’s been making an impact ever since.

Jill has served as Chair of the Events Committee and, for the past three years, as Vice President alongside former President Jimmy Black. During her time on the board, she’s especially proud of:
✔️ Reactivating the Marshall Huntington Alumni Chapter
✔️ Launching the now 4-year-running Homecoming STAMfeed tradition

As she steps into her new role as President, Jill is focused on growth and engagement. With more than 100,000 Marshall alumni worldwide and less than 2% actively participating, she’s on a mission to expand membership and strengthen connections across the Herd network.

Looking ahead, she’s also excited to build on a generous new opportunity from Marshall President Brad D. Smith and Marshall’s First Lady Alys Smith—who will begin matching funds earned by alumni chapters starting July 2026.

Join us in congratulating Jill and supporting her vision for a stronger, more connected Marshall Alumni community! 💚

We had a great turnout tonight at Marshall Hall of Fame Cafe for our meet and greet tonight. Lots of great events coming up from our chapter.

Hello Huntington Herd!

I hope to see you tonight at the Marshall Hall of Fame Cafe! We're having our regular April meeting at 6 p.m., followed by time for socializing.

If you know a Marshall alumnus in the Huntington area who might be interested in joining our group, invite them to tonight's meeting (or BRING them)!

We're going to have multiple opportunities to become involved at Marshall and we'll discuss those tonight!
