Congratulations to the Marshall University School of Pharmacy Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences on an extraordinary achievement!
Five faculty members, Dr. Jeremy McAleer, Dr. Ruhul Amin, Dr. Michael Hambuchen, Dr. Tim Long, and Dr. Boyd Rorabaugh, have been awarded five federal grants from the National Institutes of Health (NIH) and NASA totaling more than $2 million to support groundbreaking research at MUSOP.
These projects will advance scientific discovery in areas including cancer research, cannabinoid receptor signaling, methamphetamine intoxication, novel antibiotic development, and the regulation of lipid metabolism by immune cells.
With more than 60% of department faculty now supported by NIH or NASA funding, this milestone reflects the department’s growing impact on research and innovation. We are proud to celebrate these faculty members and their dedication to improving health and advancing science.
Congratulations on this remarkable accomplishment!
