💐Spring is always an exciting time on campus and, with the semester coming to an end, we have been reflecting on the opportunities we were given last week and wanted to share some highlights from our office’s collaboration with others around campus and in our local community. 💚
On Tuesday, our Case Manager & Hearing Officer attended the 2nd Annual Community Leaders Congress with several others from campus and our friends from She then helped our friends at and the Zonta Club of Huntington assemble Beloved Bundles of clothing and personal care items for survivors of sexual assault. 🩵
That same evening, the Title IX Coordinator attended the 2026 Lavendar Celebration, hosted by . 💜
🔬On Wednesday, the entire office toured Marshall’s very own Forensic Science Center to learn more about their role in WV’s Sexual Assault Kit Initiative (SAKI) and then came back to campus to join the webinar with EndTAB on Understanding Tech-Facilitated Sexual Violence. 💻
On both Tuesday and Thursday last week, the Title IX Office and other campus offices, attended Dr. Riner’s ANT 472: Language, Gender, and the Body final presentations where students discussed their academic and community research on a variety of related topics. 📝
Our marathon week continued with the annual Women of Marshall awards where we not only took part in the Women’s Center’s 50th Anniversary celebration, but our very own Case Manger & Hearing Officer was also recognized with the Impact Award. 💕
💚🦬💚 We are so grateful to be part of a Herd working together to share information and grow opportunities for those around us! 💚🦬💚
