Being Recruitment Information has taught me a lot about the inner workings of recruitment and Alpha Chi Omega as a whole. When I went Greek I never thought I would have an executive position, but I am so grateful to get out of my comfort zone and help lead this chapter. “Hi everyone! My names Macy Saunders and I’m the chapter president of Alpha Chi Omega, Gamma Omicron chapter at Marshall University! A little bit about me, I’m from Hurricane West Virginia, I double major in Management and Marketing, and I graduate in December! I work at Starbucks and have for almost 5 years!

Greek life has given me so many opportunities beyond just giving me my best friends! If you were to have told me when coming to college I’d be doing what I am now I would’ve called you crazy. I joined Alpha Chi my first semester my freshman year, I was too scared of recruitment so I went through the COB process we have here. I’ve been so greatful for the opportunities I’ve been given such as sitting on the Panhellenic Exec Board for 2 years and now representing my own chapter. I’ve been able to make so many connections through this amazing organization and have loved every second of it. If I have one thing of advice, Go Greek, and find your home!”

I chose Alpha Chi because I wanted to be a part of the bond that I could feel from all of the members the moment I met them! Being in Alpha Chi Omega has really felt like I joined my second family at my home away from home. I am very grateful that I had the chance to join Alpha Chi Omega because now I can say I have definitely made an amazing lifelong group of friends and most importantly, sisters 💚

I chose Alpha Chi Omega because I wanted to be part of a sisterhood that empowers and supports each other through every step of life. I've met so many amazing and wonderful people through this chapter, and I'm grateful for the friendships and connections I've built. I would not have been able to be the person I am today if it was not for my sisters. I admire their commitment to advocating for domestic violence awareness, and I am proud to join an organization that works tirelessly to make a difference in the lives of those affected. Together, we can raise our voices and create a safer, stronger community for all.

When I went through recruitment in Fall 2021, I was looking for more than just a sorority, I was looking for a home. From day one, Alpha Chi Omega felt like exactly that. Over the years, my sisters have been my biggest supporters, encouraging me through every challenge and celebrating every victory. As I move back home to begin my nursing career, I know Alpha Chi will always be a part of me. The friendships, memories, and unbreakable bond I’ve found here will stay with me for a lifetime. I’m forever grateful to call Alpha Chi Omega my home.
