UAH RAN UAH RAN provides information & resources to North AL on Autism Spectrum Disorder. Our program is available to anyone who is in need.

The Alabama Department of Mental Health named the University of Alabama in Huntsville a Regional Autism Network site. The RAN launched in 2016, and in 2019 UAH joined Auburn University, the University of Alabama at Birmingham, the University of South Alabama, and the University of Alabama as resource hubs. RANs are funded by the Department of Mental Health, and each RAN is staffed by experts in th

e field of autism spectrum disorder. You do not have to be affiliated with UAH to receive our services. We strive to connect you to the best information and services that best meet your needs.

Thanks to our amazing student staff Brianna for representing RAN at the Huntsville Autism Walk alongside our PI, Dr Kimberly Hile (not pictured).

Our Director and Family Navigator were both out of town on the date of this event, and Brianna made sure RAN at UAH was represented well!

Brianna, we are so appreciative of your dedication to RAN. Thank you for all you do!

Have you ever needed care (daycare, afterschool care, summer care, or adult care) for your autistic loved one? If so, we need your VOICE.

RAN’s Care Survey closes on May 1. There are still 12 counties in Alabama we haven’t yet heard from.

In North Alabama, we need responses from Etowah and Lawrence Counties. Elsewhere in the state, we need responses from the following counties: Wilcox, Sumter, Pickens, Monroe, Lawrence, Lamar, Henry, Fayette, Etowah, Choctaw, Butler, and Barbour.

Please share as this data will be used to ignite care needs across the state of Alabama.
