2 Timothy 1 NASB
3 I thank God, whom I serve with a clear conscience [c]the way my forefathers did, as I constantly remember you in my [d]prayers night and day,
4 longing to see you, even as I recall your tears, so that I may be filled with joy.
5 [e]For I am mindful of the sincere faith within you, which first dwelled in your grandmother Lois and your mother Eunice, and I am sure that it is in you as well.
6 For this reason I remind you to kindle afresh the gift of God which is in you through the laying on of my hands.
7 For God has not given us a spirit of [f]timidity, but of power and love and [g]discipline.
______________
Tears, so many of us, including myself are often embarrassed by crying. But Jesus wept openly as well as so many others in God's word.
Let's choose not to be ashamed of the sensitive spirit God is granting us. The closer we get to God's word the more sensitized we are to feeling and seeing with such depth that we are often overcome with emotion.
Let's pray: Dear God thank You for this day.
Thank You for creating us for such a time as this. We love You, Lord, and are so grateful that You called us out of the dark and into the light.
Please Holy Spirit keep sensitizing our hearts to hear from You and to be aware of the deep things You are calling us to know and do.
Lord Jesus please surround us with protection and empower us to walk out Your high calling day by day.
We sing praises to Your name, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, Amen.
